Monday 4th January 2010 To start the New Year, we will finally get to meet John Gater, the geophysics man who will explain the technology behind the equipment used on Time Team, after having to cancel last year's appearance. (Just hope he makes it over the Pennines from Bradford). 1st February Lancashire Folk Music will again feature in February when our member Brian Calderbank will talk about Love and Romance in Victorian Lancashire. 1st March In March, we have the welcome return of Stephen Sartin who will give a talk in his own style and will enthral his audience as usual. 12th April On the second Monday in April (due to the Easter holiday) we will have Dr CP Lee talking about another of his specialised subjects as he recounts the story of popular music in the North West of England in the 1950s, 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. Whilst the Mersey Sound / Beatles are famous, the Manchester scene will be to the fore as it features in Chris's book "Shake Rattle & Rain"
